The Palindrome is Growing
Meet the first new member of our team and find out how to become the next one
Hi there!
I always had big plans for The Palindrome. Come to think of it, I always have big plans for everything I set my mind to. See, I didn’t just want to write a book; I wanted to write The Book about the Mathematics of Machine Learning. It turned out to be over 700 pages, with around 300 pages already ready for the sequel.
Now that the book is out, my focus is exclusively on The Palindrome, and it’s time to execute those big plans. Let me share them with you!
First, I have always wanted The Palindrome to be a proper publication like ByteByteGo or The Pragmatic Engineer, instead of the one-man show we have now. So, let me introduce you to Alberto Gonzalez, the first official member of The Palindrome team! You might know him from Smarter Engineers, and we have been working together behind the scenes for a couple of months now.
Many of you know that I’m an extremely chaotic person. Rules, processes, systems, and todo lists bounce off me like a rubber ball from a brick wall. Think of Alberto as the one who introduces order to my creative chaos, enabling you to get more value from the publication: improving the reader experience, building the community, and so on.
I’ll pass the mic to him for a quick introduction.
Alberto: I’ve always been inspired by Tivadar’s mission of teaching math and machine learning to a general audience. He was one of the first online educators I looked up to and a primary reason I started writing my own Substack about data structures and algorithms in 2023. I’m delighted to be officially a part of The Palindrome team and contribute to its ultimate goal: making math accessible to everyone.
Say hello to Alberto in the comments!
Second, I'm also looking to add content creators to the team: I want to double the value you get, and I also want to help young technical writers master their craft. If you have ever wanted to create educational content in math, machine learning, or engineering, now's the time. Get in touch with me in a DM, share a couple of your best (and worst!) pieces with me, and we'll discuss the details!
That's all for now. We'll keep you updated! Don't forget to check the subscriber chat, where we'll also send the updates.
Talk to you soon!
Cheers,
The Palindrome team (it feels great to write this down)
Two of my favorite writers--and two good friends--working together! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Count me in for the occasional guest post on computability, graphs, formal languages, or anything else ;)
Super exciting and welcome Alberto!
