Machine Learning From Zero is ready to go!
The open source neural-networks-from-scratch book you were all waiting for
Hi there,
It’s nice to see you here! We haven’t talked in a long time.
Sorry for the long, silent pause. I won’t bore you with personal things; you are here for the math and the machine learning. Let me tell you what I was working on.
Long story short, instead of putting out a couple thousand characters long post every week, I took a few months to build a tensor library from scratch, which became the mlfz
(a.k.a. Machine Learning From Zero) project.
Check it out on GitHub: https://github.com/cosmic-cortex/mlfz
There’s also about 100+ pages of documentation that reads like an interactive textbook on neural networks. It’s (more or less) done now, and you can dive into it.
Why should you give it a read? Because the most effective way to understand something (anything) is to take it apart and then put it back together again. Cars, computers, databases, neural networks: it’s all the same. After five months of deep work, I am ready to walk you through this journey. In the next couple of posts, w…
