Hey there!
Here’s a monthly recap of everything we created in August inside The Palindrome, plus what’s on deck for September.

August Recap
The Roadmap of Mathematics for Machine Learning
We started the month with a full roadmap of all the math you need to get started with machine learning.
This is the most comprehensive post we have ever created at The Palindrome, and the reception we got from you shows it.
It quickly became the most popular post ever since the birth of this publication in 2022.
Give it a read if you’ve been trying to figure out machine learning on your own without success.

Your Machine Learning Library
As the publication gets bigger and bigger, it becomes harder to find specific issues using Substack’s built-in search functions.
That’s why we created the machine learning library, with all the resources we have ever created in one place.
Now, instead of struggling to find what you need, you can just click on this post.
Bookmark this page. You might want to get back to it again.

What Is Infinity?
This is an exclusive article for our 320+ paid members.
We dive deep into how mathematics defines what’s infinite and, sometimes more importantly, what’s finite.
Give it a read if you’re curious to know how the concept of infinity made things infinitely harder in the field of mathematics.
Education or Experience?
This post serves as an homage to Alfréd Rényi and answers an important question that’s been the subject of discussion for centuries: the old theory vs. practice debate.
For some, machine learning equals proving theorems. For others, it is cleaning data or serving models on Kubernetes. Which side is right?
Both.

Introduction to Algorithmic Analysis
Alejandro is back with another series in The Palindrome!
This time, it’s all about how to think about the correctness, cost, and performance of algorithms.
Read the introductory post to get a feeling of what’s coming up next.

What’s Ahead in September
The Palindrome Lecture Series
This is a seasonal bi-weekly series of live lectures exclusive to annual members of The Palindrome, delivered by Tivadar and various machine learning experts.
The theme of the first season is Neural Networks From Scratch, where the goal is to implement a complete framework on our own.
The first 60-minute session will cover the prerequisites: vectors, matrices, and their implementation in Python.
Date: September 26th, 16:00 CET
Host: Tivadar Danka
The Competitive Programmer's Introduction to Graph Theory
We are continuing our graph theory series now from the point of view of a competitive programmer.
The first article in the series will kick things off with everything you need to know about nodes, edges, neighbors, and degrees.
If none of this makes sense now, we promise you won’t have to wait long until it does.
Comparing Algorithms
Part 2 of the Algorithmic Analysis series is underway.
This time, we will lay the foundations of asymptotic analysis so you never have to guess again when deciding what algorithm to use.
Thanks again for being a reader of The Palindrome.
